THE 2024 SUMMER READING PROGRAM – Adventure Begins at Your Library!

ADVENTURE BEGINS AT YOUR LIBRARY!

Volunteers at the Camp Wood Public Library launched this year’s summer reading program on Tuesday, June 25.  The theme for this year’s programs is “Adventure Begins at Your Library!”  The programs ran for four weeks on Tuesday mornings, beginning at 10:00 AM. This year’s special presenters were:

June 25            Terry Hibbitts and His Amazing Critters

July 2              Spikey Mikey with a Comedy Magic Show

July 9              Rainey Bingham, Real County Extension Agent, with a Program on Conserving Water

July 16            Kristen Satterfield and puppies, face painting, and hot dogs in the park

The Camp Wood Public Library wishes to thank our yearly sponsors of the Summer Reading Program, Southwest Texas Communications and First State Bank of Uvalde, Camp Wood Branch. For numerous years, they have generously provided the funds for the library volunteers to put on a successful summer program for the local youngsters. Be sure to let them know how much our community appreciates their support.

Also Kathy Hicks of Get "N" Go donated a hunk of pizza to each of the children who attended the Camp Wood Public Library's Summer Reading Program! Thank you so much for your generosity!
