2023 Summer Reading Program Report and Photos
The Summer Reading Program 2023 was a great success, thanks to the generosity of its sponsors, Southwest Texas Communications and First State Bank, to the presenters, book readers, Friends of the Library volunteers, and attendees.
The Camp Wood Public Library holds a reading program and contest for children each summer, and for 2023 the Theme was All Together Now.
Below are a few photos of all events to save or share with family and friends.
We had 48 enjoy the first session on June 20th with Terry Hibbits, aka Bug Man who showed pictures and displays and talked about many creepy crawly creatures.
On June 27th, 40 people were entertained by Mrs. Sandra Fairchild and Stinky the Pig. An original story she has written.
On July 11th Mark Fuller entertained the 42 in attendance with a Magic show.
On July 18th Diana & John Klebenow, (Eclipse Gurus) led an information session on the eclipse.
To close out the program on July 25th, we had Kristen Satterfield with Rocksprings Rescues Initiative come out to Lindbergh Park and do a presentation on puppy adoption. While some of the children played with the pups, some fished for prizes, and some participated in the scavenger hunt. Hotdogs were served following the program.
The Robotics program also was part of the Summer Reading Program.
