2017 Summer Reading Program Report and Photos

The 2017 Summer Reading Program was an enjoyable success!

Presenters Joe Boisvert, Terry Hibbitts, Spikey Mikey, and the Uvalde National Fish Hatchery entertained and engaged everyone present at the summer reading program events. Friends of the Library volunteers read stories and  lead the attendees in activities, songs, and games.

The last reading program event for this summer was July 11 at Lindbergh Park.  Everyone participating enjoyed a close encounter of the fish kind, and they were excited to see the live fish tank from the Uvalde National Fish Hatchery with many different species of fish.  The children learned about the fish in our area, about conservation, and about protecting our environment.  Thanks to Mark Dietrich and Rachel from the Fish Hatchery for hosting this event.  Everyone had an enjoyable time.

Below are a few photos of all events to save or share with family and friends.
