A Meet-and-Greet and Book Signing
Thursday, January 24 at 6:00 p.m.

Thursday, January 24 at 6:00 pm, the Camp Wood Public Library will host an Author Presentation featuring three talented writers.

Sonja Klein, a twenty-four year resident of the area, is retired and lives in Bullhead Canyon where she gardens, writes, and raises a few sheep. Sonja’s fourth book is titled “Saplings, Switches, And Twigs.” As one reviewer has said, “If you’ve read any of Sonja’s three previous books (“Honk If You Married Sonja,” “Roundtrip from Texas,” and “Ambushed by America”), you already know to expect the unexpected from her well-written and often hilarious or poignant personal essays.

Linda Kirkpatrick grew up on a ranch in the Frio Canyon, an experience that gave her the knowledge to follow cowboy and ranch themes in her work. She has published two books (“Somewhere in the West” and “Tales of the Frio Canyon”), three chapbooks, and numerous articles and cowboy poems. “Tales of the Frio Canyon” won a Gold Will Rogers Medallion award for best non-fiction western and a Gold Medallion award for best layout design.

Marcia Gruver’s southern roots lend touches of humor and threads of faith to her writing. Look for both elements in her Texas Fortunes and Backwoods Brides series. When she’s not perched behind a keyboard, you’ll find Marcia clutching a game system controller or riding shotgun on long drives in the Texas Hill Country. Lifelong Texans, Marcia and her husband Lee have five children.

This should be an evening to remember! Be sure to come and bring a few friends with you. Refreshments will follow the authors’ presentations. For more information call the library at 597-3208 or come by the library during regular hours of business.
